Position Sensors

A position sensor is any device that permits position measurement. It can either be an absolute position sensor or a relative one (displacement sensor). Position sensors can be linear, angular, hall effect, magnetic field based, proximity sensors, inductive position for example. The linear position sensors have several unique features including anti vibration mounts, triple sealing and high temperature rod ends. They are used for position sensing in critical applications when high accuracy and robustness is needed. Outside of Linear position, we offer rotary for angular position measurement. These work on the magnetic field principle and can be either contact or non contact hall effect based. Addition Linear position sensors include drawer wire (or string pots), LVDTs & RVDTs for measuring linear position or angular position and hall effect. StrainSense also provide a wide range of Pressure Sensors, Position Sensors and Torque Sensors.
