Product Description

Order analysis is a method used to analyse the noise and vibration of machines with rotating parts. The Oxygen order analysis module option is ideal for analysis of rotating machinery including electric motors, combustion engines, pumps, compressors and generators.

Oxygen’s order analysis option is simple to setup and requires three different input signals: running speed and rotation signal from the DUT can be acquired from one speed sensor, like a tachometer or an encoder. Input signal(s) for order analysis, i.e. signal from an accelerometer or microphone, are then selected.

The order analysis module outputs the following channels for every input signal for which an order analysis is determined:

  • Speed: Running speed of the DUT
  • Order Spectrum: An order spectrum including the order on the X axis, the engine speed on the Y-axis and the amplitude color-coded on the Z-axis is determined for every input signal
  • Frequency Spectrum: A frequency spectrum including the frequency on the X-axis, the engine speed on the Y-axis and the amplitude color-coded on the Z-axis is determined for every input signal
  • Extracted Orders: For every order that is extracted, a time-domain amplitude channel and phase channel is calculated

An order analysis can also be determined in post processing, using the speed, angle and input signals in a data file.

Order analysis data can also be exported including by raw data export, direct copy and paste into other software packages and image file export.
