Position/Tilt
Position measurement by potentiometer, LVDT, Magnetic field and inductive sensing using absolute and incremental systems. For linear and rotary measurements. Board mount and packaged tilt sensors use capacitive and electrolytic methods are offered. Linearised and temperature compensated outputs are available.
-
Absolute
Linear and rotary encoders with an output that is relative to the position regardless of movement during power-down. These are mainly optical encoders and potentiometers.
-
Encoders
An encoder is a sensing device that translates either linear or rotary motion into a predictable electrical output.
-
Gage heads
Spring and air assisted return options are available on the high accuracy LVDT based gauge heads. AC and DC outputs are offered. Operating temperatures to 150C.
-
Intrinsically Safe
A range of intrinsically safe sensors designed for use in hazardous areas.
-
Linear Potentiometers
High accuracy linear position measurement using conductive plastic techniques. Temperature ranges -30C to +150C (175C short term). Sealing to IP67 (static). Measuring ranges 25-300mm.
-
LVDT
LVDT's offer friction free non-contact position sensing using inductive magnetic coupling. Life and resolution are very high. IP67 and IS versions are available with temperature ranges to 220C.
-
Rotary
A range of rotary position sensors.
-
Tilt Sensors & Inclinometers
Capacitive and elecrolytic sensors in single and dual axis configurations. Board mount and industrial housings available. +-2 to +/- 45 degrees. Sealing up to IP67.
