    Pedal Load Cell

    The FN2114 load cell has been developed for pedal load testing. Its size allows the sensor to be easily installed on the pedals of any vehicle or a fatigue/endurance test bench.

    Since the forces to be investigated on the brake, clutch or accelerometer pedals are different, and vary from a small car to a heavy goods vehicle, TE CONNECTIVITY offers different measurement ranges as standard.

    With an internal mechanical decoupling system, accuracy is 1% F.S., regardless of the point of force application. Integrated amplifier for high level output is optionally available for all ranges.
    A similar pedal load cells with thicker dimension exists as model FN2570.

    Loaw Ranges Seatbelt Load Cell

    TE CONNECTIVITY has applied our decade of experience serving the automotive crash test industry to design the ultimate crash test seat belt restraint sensor.

    The FN4055 measures with excellent accuracy the forces exerted on the seat belt. Only the actual compression upon the seat belt is measured, as the sensor is insensitive to contact from the crash test dummy. The unit is designed for very low range, like tests for kid’s security. It is protected against overload by mechanical stops.

    A similar sensor, EL20-S458, covers requests with higher ranges up to 25kN.

    The M905 is an all-in-one digital meter, supplying the sensor with power and providing general purpose 4½ digit readout for strain gauge based transducers (mV, V) or process signals (mA, V). Standard features include a tare function, MAX/MIN value detection and storage, and a hold function. Optional relays and analogue outputs can be added to provide control outputs. The RS232 or RS485 option board allows communicating with PLC’s or computers.

    Digital display

    The M210 is an all-in-one signal conditioning and display meter that adapts to most strain gauge sensors. The M210 meter powers the sensor, amplifies the signals received from the sensor, and presents the results on a display. The analog output is compatible with control systems and data acquisition cards. A power supply filter helps protect against incorrect voltage supply. The M210 features high bandwidth and low noise level. The large high visibility ±2,000 count LED display allows quick reading of the measurements. Optionally, the M210 can be housed in a rugged ABS case.

    The XFTC301 series has been specifically developed to measure tension and compression in static and dynamic applications. The miniature size facilitates testing where space is at premium.

    The sensing element is fitted with a fully temperature compensated Wheatstone bridge equipped with high stability micro-machined silicon strain gages. The use of silicon strain gages optimizes the load cell’s performance at low ranges and frequencies.

    A strain relief spring strengthens the cable output. With two threaded male studs, the XFTC301 is easily installed in industrial or OEM applications.

    Miniature Load Cell High Temperature

    The XFTC302 series has been specifically developed to measure tension and/or compression in static and dynamic applications. 

    Fitted with metallic strain gages in a Wheatstone bridge circuit, the XFTC302 has the capacity of measuring heavy loads of up to 10,000 N, 2000 lbf while providing excellent temperature stability. With two threaded M10 studs, the XFTC302 is easily installed in industrial or OEM applications. A strain relief spring strengthens the cable output.

    For lower force and temperature ranges, TE CONNECTIVITY developed another product XFTC301. This other models covers the ranges from 2N to 2000N.

    The XFU400 is used in applications that require a spherical plain rod-end bearing and has the capacity of accepting a full scale range of up to 5 kN [1 klbf].

    The XFTC300 series has been specifically developed to measure tension and/or compression in static and dynamic applications. The miniature size and light weight facilitate testing where these conditions are necessary. 

    The sensing element is fitted with a fully temperature compensated Wheatstone bridge equipped with high stability micro-machined silicon strain gauges. The use of silicon strain gauges optimizes the load cell’s performance at low ranges and frequencies.

    For sensors with a range of between 2 and 2KN, a high-level output model is available. With two male threads, the XFTC300 is easily installed in industrial or OEM applications. A strain relief spring strengthens the cable output.
