Transducer & Stress Analysis Gauges

A range of transducer and stress analysis gauges covering all popular patterns and gauge lengths. Encapsulated and leaded options are available. Self temperature compensation (STC matching) and creep matching are available on many of the gauges.

    Main Strain Gauge Catalogue

Foil strain gauges are supplied manufactured from constantan or karma foil, ideal for both transducer and stress analysis applications.

Most of the foil strain gauges can be supplied with a range of options to aid installation.  Options include, encapsulated, leads attached, tinned tabs, cables attached, mounted onto weldable shim etc.

Semi-conductor strain gauges can also be used for linearity correction of strain gauge bridge outputs, typically axial compression or tension columns.

  2. PCB Stress Test Gauges

    PCB Stress Test Gauges

    Model: SG PCB Stress Test
    • 0.5, 1 and 2mm gauges
    • Very small matrix
    • 0, 45 & 90 deg rosette
    • Stacked rosette
    • Lead options

    PCB Stress Test Gauges

Special designs with very small dimensions idael for bonding onto PCB's to measure stress due to component loading forces, thermal stresses and board insertion forces.  Encapsulated and leaded versions are available to suit individual requirements.  Stacked rosettes  can be used to measure the strain and directions at a specific point.

  3. Residual Stress Gauges

    Residual Stress Gauges

    Model: BE series
    • specific geometry
    • 2% strain
    • 0,45 & 90 deg
    • 0,120 & 240 deg

    Residual Stress Gauges

Strain gauges designed to measure reidual stress in the surface of materials using the hole drilling technique.

  4. Concrete Gauges

    Concrete Gauges

    Model: HBP
    • 3 - 50mm gauge length
    • Polyimide carrier
    • 120 & 350 ohm gauges
    • Linear and multi-axis
    • Environmentally sealed

    Concrete Gauges

The HBP seriese of strain gauges are specially constructed to meet the needs of measuring strain in concrete.  The strain gauge is mounted to a polyimide carrier and than has the cable attached with robust strain relief, the gauge and termination area are then potted in a polyurethane moulding to give mechanical and moisture protection. Strain gauge lengths of 3 to 50mm are offered as standard.  Custom designs to meet specific requirements can be readily manufactured.  Long gauge lengths are used to ensure strain averaging in non-homogeneous materials.

  5. High Elongation Gauges

    High Elongation Gauges

    Model: TA Series
    • 5 - 20 % strain
    • Special tabs
    • Encapsulated grid

    High Elongation Gauges

Special designs for very high strain measurements up to 20%.  Annealed gauge foil to ensure high elongation.

  6. Potted Strain Gauges

    Potted Strain Gauges

    Model: RapidSense

    • Rapid Installation
    • Fully Encapsulated
    • Custom designs
    • 1/4, 1/2 and full bridge
    • Wiring options

    Potted Strain Gauges

Fully wired and encapsulated strain gauge for ease of installation, particularly in areas where access is restricted. Can be installed in a few minutes using cyanoacrylate adhesives. Custom gauge assemblies can be manufactured to suit particular requirements.

The encapsulation offers mechanical, chemical and moisture protection in a variety of environments, The RSE gauge may be used without further protection for short to medium term installations and for long term use when used with extra protective costings.

  7. Encapsulated and Leaded Gauges

    Encapsulated and Leaded Gauges

Model: Encapsulated and Leaded Gauges - Polyimide
    • Stress analysis
    • 2 & 3 wire 1/4 Bridge
    • PVC and PTFE
    • Custom designs

    Encapsulated and Leaded Gauges

A range of strain gauges suited to stress analysis applications. These are encapsulated gauges with a range of lead-out options. Linear, tee and stacked rosettes are available.

Please note that items 1 to 18 do NOT have leadwires attached.
